The original 1999 Base Set is quite possibly the most important set of them all. This was the set that really put Pokémon on the map and launched it to be a worldwide sensation. The Base Set features some of the most iconic cards like the original Charizard, Blastoise, Mewtwo, Gyarados and many others. Many of these artworks have been re-printed through anniversary sets, paying homage to the originals. This is not the first edition version which was shadowless, but came out right after. The holos in this set have gem rates typically below 1%, making it nearly impossible to get a PSA 10 grade. We will be doing four different releases which feature all of the holos from the set in PSA 10 condition. Our first release is the most important of them all. We have featured the number one and number two most valuable cards from the set, the Charizard and Blastoise. We have also included one of the most difficult cards to get in PSA 10 condition which has an incredibly low population compared to the others, the Base Set Clefairy. In addition to the three different holos, we have also included a completely unique test print card, which features two very iconic artworks that are basically printed over top of each other. This is a population one card with none graded higher.
